The Cloth Simulation Artist creates animated garments for large volumes of shots via cloth simulation for CG Feature.
The Animator's primary responsibility is to create high quality motion of computer graphics creatures and objects within a shot, using a variety of animation software programs, and working under the general supervision of the Animation Supervisor and Lead Animator.

Feature Animation - Cloth & Hair Artist
The Cloth Simulation Artist creates animated garments for large volumes of shots via cloth simulation for CG Feature.
- Setup garment rigs that embody the aesthetic and technical properties of animated garments.
- Create and maintain code specific to garments rigs.
- Improve and implement animated garment production workflows both procedurally and technically.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Computer Graphics, Industrial Design, Fine Arts or equivalents having gained a strong sense of anatomy, character design, surface development, proportion, and mechanical functionality. Traditional model building a plus.
- 2-3 years experience in a 3D production environment.
- Working knowledge of high end 3D software - Maya required.
- Programming experience in a high level language would be a plus (e.g. C, Python).
- Experience with MEL and UNIX scripting would be a plus
- Production experience with Syflex and nCloth is preferred and knowledge of any other simulation system (eg. particle, cloth, fluid) is a plus.

- Responsible for the successful animation of a series of shots on a for the CG Feature Project.
- Participates as a team member in determining various aesthetic solutions; provides feedback to other members of the production by attending dailies on a regular basis.
- Maintains or exceeds a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work.
- Performs other tasks related to the creation of computer-generated animation.
- 3+ years experience working in cel, stopmotion or computer animation.
- Expert knowledge of traditional animation principles, acting, film production and compositional design.
- Knowledge of Unix and shell scripting; expert knowledge of Maya, proprietary and other software programs.
- A reel demonstrating a variety of different styles of animation including pieces which showcase the candidate's performance and action abilities

- Knowledge of Unix and shell scripting; expert knowledge of Maya, proprietary and other software programs. A reel demonstrating a variety of different styles of animation including pieces which showcase the candidate's performance and action abilities.
